In 1830 St. Catherine Labouré experienced a series of apparitions in this chapel which instigated the popular devotion of the Miraculous Medal. Millions of Catholics worldwide wear the medal.

Too often and all too easily I can become distracted. Knowledgeable and sure, but numb to God’s Presence in my life. It’s so important to take some concrete minutes for Him each and every day. No, not because He needs it, but because I need it. Yes, school is important. Yes, things are pretty. Of course I like shiny things and yearn for new clothes and this or that. I’m human. But I must remember that He is more important than all of that. Gosh, I love it when He lets me have these little moments of clarity where I realize that He is my truest and only joy. Again, He is more important than everything. He Is Everything.
My dearest Jesus, I love Thee. Grant that, at the very least, I may always love Thee. Never suffer me to forget or lose faith in Thee, for sooner would I die than let such happen. Increase my faith in, love for, and hope in Thee, amen.
